Playing along to the studio track with the guitars removed. This song is actually trickier than it sounds. To stay in sync and in the groove with the drums can be challenging and the solo is so underrated. This was a request from a fellow follower learning to play guitar. Enjoy!

@@ironboy1991 Thank you! Honesty, I don’t exactly remember because this was so long ago but I believe it was just a Fender bass amp with a Boss pedalboard effects running compression, distortion, delay and chorus.

No one else has covered this song like this. As far as I have found anyways. You not only hit the notes clean and matched the speed, you got the sound. Completely. This is one of my top VH songs by far and probably my favorite Eddie Riff. I know it so well. Always gives me those chills. You nailed it start to finish. Bravo.

One of my favorite songs to play on guitar when i was younger. Haven't played it in over 15 years. Watching your video makes me want to relearn it. Awesome playing and attention to little details! EVH would be proud.

It's amazing how Eddie used similar chord progressions and shapes....not that I'm anywhere near his level of playing, I've just started to see how he used similar notes and shapes on may songs, they are just in different order, and variations. Anyone else notice that?

@@Van-Halen-Jr. Thank you! Using the same model guitar Eddie did when recording helps a lot. But months of tweaking my new Marshall and pedals also helped contribute to nailing the tone.

Thank you very much! I actually redid it with the E string tuned down to an A to replicate it more accurately. Eddie used a bass string in its place but I didn’t have one. 👍🏻
